The Team Gauntlet event, like most PVE/PVP events, starts with a treasure hunt on wednesdaynight. From there, a counter will show you the remaining time untill the actual event begins. During the treasure hunt phase you simply attack bases as you normally would to collect chests with items that will help you during the event.
Once the actual event has started, your team must conquer islands that belong to Gustav’s Blackbloods. You start at the bottom and work your way up to the top. The higher you get, the more points you earn individually and for your team.
About the islands
On the event map, several islands are displayed. These are PVE islands belonging to the Blackbloods. Your team starts with the first one and moves up one island at a time. Each island has a certain amount of HP. Once that amount is reached, your team moves on to the next island. To attack, simply click on the island and fight! Keep in mind that you need energy to attack so save up these refill packs! After an island was conquered it will be unavailable for a short amount of time. After that, your team can defeat it again.
There is also a PVP island in the top. It appears every 3 hours and your team has 3 hours to battle it down to 0 HP. This island will give the team more victory points, and steals VP from the other team but in the long run, it it will give your team more points to battle the PVE islands first.
How to earn points
You earn individual points for every attack you do. Inner fire will double your score as well as the amount of HP taken from the island. When the entire island is conquered, the team gains Victory points. Beating the PVP island also gives you both individual and team VP.
It’s a team effort!
This event is a team effort. The more islands your team conquers, the more difficult the next island will be to defeat. However, the amount of VP on the higher islands is also well worth the effort. So before you go in, ask an officer which island to attack and always check if there is a high level player to back you up on the higher levels. Use the team chat, that’s what it’s for 🙂
